DataCentre Exit Programme
Cloud-First Leap: Driving a Firmwide Exit from Legacy Data Centres to Azure
Chris lead the end-to-end delivery of a strategic multi-year Data Centre Exit Programme for the Audit Capability with an approved budget of £1.1M. I directed planning and execution across cross-functional teams including Technology, Audit and external vendors to migrate Audit applications and ~550TB of business critical and legally retained data to Azure inline with the firm’s cloud-first strategy. Championed and delivered a storage optimisation strategy by shifting legal hold data to archival tiers saving an estimated £23K per month. I maintained full governance oversight securing approvals from Security & Cloud design Authority with zero unplanned downtime. The outcome was that I delivered a highly visible, high-impact migration with firm-wide strategic implications, recognised for its cost efficiency, cross-team coordination and strong risk governance.

Microsoft Power Platform
Business Intelligence and Automation initiatives for KPMG Audit Business in the UK
Responsible for and in charge of shaping a new capability group within KPMG Audit Technology Practice, establishing the new capability as centre of excellence for Business-led IT leveraging Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps and Power BI. My strategic pillars included delivery of use cases, establishing best practice (agile delivery) and governance, change management, recruitment & resourcing, programme finance, comms strategy and continuous improvement.
Responsible for the delivery of Microsoft Power Platform and Power Apps initiatives using Agile & DevOps principles for the UK Audit Business. Project Budget >£1.1M involving 2 highly influential stakeholders at Partner level. I delivered technology workstream specifically the Canvas App and associated environment set-up via my delivery team leveraging Agile delivery methodology, Kanban boards and ensuring best practice. Responsible for delivery of all architectural collateral relating to data model, security, identity and access management etc via my Solution Architects for governance gate reviews prior to GO-LIVE. Anticipating potential issues/risk and formulating feasible mitigating outcomes while maintaining effective, honest and open communication with my clients to manage expectations.

HMS Queen Elizabeth

As the QUEEN ELIZABETH class of Ships approached its ready for sea dates I was appointed Project Manager responsible for integrating and delivering a selected number of safety critical MoD Applications on-board HMS Queen Elizabeth ensuring the the Ship's staff remained supported and allowed them to conduct their duties in a safe and supported manner. Typhoon Aircraft Management System
Critical Software Update Release
The Eurojet EJ200 is the military jet engine used as the power plant for the Typhoon Aircraft. Rolls Royce periodically release updates to the engine management system, prior to this, a MoD application requires coding and interface changes to ensure data continues to pass uncompromised between both systems. Appointed as Project Manager I was responsible for delivery of coding and interface changes including the coordination of work packages between key suppliers IBM and Rolls Royce. This project compared with many others I have delivered had significant implications on safety, air worthiness and security as such it was of the utmost importance that data integrity was maintained and continued to be passed uninterrupted between source and destination.

Ammunition Stock Control System for British Army and Royal Navy
IT Infrastructure Project
A bespoke MoD Application developed by supplier British Telecom (BT). Appointed as Project Manager responsible for the delivery of refreshing the technology stack behind the application bringing all components into vendor support, retaining all current functionality, interfaces, performance characteristics and through life support. The application was then migrated onto target architecture, servers capable of supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and the latest version of Sybase ASE.
